Why Everyone Should Own A 19 Year Old

My oldest son took all his siblings and a few neighbors to the Summer Dollar-Movie Series yesterday morning. Thus:
I was alone in my house.

I had no idea what to do, so almost hysterical with the unlimited possibilities I called a friend to say:

I am alone in my house!

She laughed at me -but it was nice laughter.  I think she was jealous.
Giddy, I hung up and ate candy without sharing.  I entered my bathroom By Myself.

I played my favorite music. I did dishes without talking.
I thought in complete sentences.  My brain was surprised.

When's the next movie in the series?

Marvelous! You don't have to have 7 children to appreciate this. Just having 2 around the house all summer makes me crave those quiet mornings of fall! BTW, Regal cinema is doing a summer series for $1 on Tues and Wed

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like that. It's not that I don't enjoy having them here all the time, it's just that (most of the time)my brain can't take that much stimulation!
(And going to the bathroom alone is SUCH a luxury!)

you never cease to make me LAUGH. "my brain was suprised". Awesome. And I am totally jealous that you got to go to the bathroom alone. Lucky!

I keep trying to convince Chris that we need to adopt a 16 year old. He doesn't understand why...I may force him to read this post.

I'm with Felicity and Ostriches Look Funny...I'm so jealous you got to go to the bathroom by yourself! I'm currently perfecting certain skills that probably shouldn't be discussed. :) (currently as in, not at this very moment while I'm typing, but rather currently, as in this stage of my life, just in case you were wondering)
I'm enjoying once again getting caught up on your blog, Susan. Thanks for all the laughs this morning!
