- It had a dining room large enough for our dining table, which is large enough for our family of 9 to eat together- which we do every day.
- It was in our price range.
- It had a row of large White Pines growing along the back fence.
- Oh, and did I mention it was in our price range?
The second Summer we lived here bagworms attacked the row of pines. The crown of the center tree was killed. It looked like a giant had taken scissors and lopped off the top of the tree. Very ugly.
Amazingly, one of the lower branches twisted and twined itself, over the course of the next 5 years, and began to grow straight up. A new crown. The pine is beautiful again; you can only see the damage if you look very closely.
I so love Tuesdays; see both Tuesdays Unwrapped and Gratituesday for blogs full of grace.

What an encouragment the Word of God is to us isnt' it?
I love that idea.
Amen! I love that scripture, and your trees are a beautiful illustration. :)
How beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I would dearly love to see a picture of that amazing tree... :)
I was going to try and photograph the tree- but rain, sleet, snow (sometimes all three at the same time) have discouraged me from making the attempt. I'm ready for Spring.
Love the sound of your tree and illustration! God is good even through it all! :D
I just found your blog and it's great. I love your humor!
One of my favorite verses for sure!
Boy did I need to read that today! Thank you for posting it.
thank you for that note of encouragement!
Beautiful! Love thinking about your tree's new crown, now! :)
Stunning post. I just love it!!!
That was really beautiful.
Our dining room is an office! We eat in the kitchen and I often think of moving.
What a great post and it's so encouraging. It kind of makes it easier to take good risks when you know that even when we make mistakes that God has our back.
